Introducing Softwell

And not just perceptibly so, but specifically tuned to match the softness of the body's tissues. That means you can culture neurons in an environment as soft as the brain, cardiomyocytes upon the stiffness of muscle, or whatever your cells' tissue of origin may be.

Softwell is a transparent polyacrylamide hydrogel bound to the surface of any cell culture well. It's so thin, you might not notice it's there, but a cell can feel the difference. Importantly, it won't interfere with most cell-based assays and detection methods. That way, you can make cell culture more realistic without complicating your life at the benchtop.

Softwell replicates a broad range of physiological tissue softness, from fat to cardiac muscle, so you can routinely venture beyond the rigidity of tissue culture plastic.

What will your cells do in a softer world? To find out, order Softwell online or request an evaluation sample at To learn more, download our Product and User's Guide.
